in case you haven't heard...

Kimball got a job in Chicago!

For now we'll be there just for the summer and then possibly be returning after I finish up school next April!!

We leave June 10th so we have a little bit of summer to relax in provo before we're taking off but we are both ecstatic for the opportunity and the new adventure.

After our time is up in Chicago we're heading to North Carolina with Kimball's family to hit the Outer Banks before heading back to Provo for one last year of school. 

So if you need me look for the girl who looks like this..

(yes, i am wearing a swimsuit, do not fear)

Can't wait for our summer adventures! And to have a break from school for the first real summer I've had since the 8th grade! 

because i am blessed.

i am so thrilled

spring is almost here!

i've been jotting down a list of things

i want to do more of and things i want to learn.

i'm trying to think of things beyond the norm of summer happenings.

hello, little elephant

see that elephant? i want it.

not to buy it, i want to sew it so i can use any adorable fabric i can get my hands on.

every time i go to etsy i find something i want to know how to arrange, sew or create.

i love lovely little things that brighten my day :)

they're back.

they're back. my friends, my beloved summer is coming.

and how do i know?

because the blackberries are here.

upon every visit to our grocery store i feel anticipated misery as i know when i check

for blackberries they will not only be extremely over inflated in price but they will not be ready, not juicy and ready to burst like blackberries should look.

but this morning, something was different.

the blackberries were ready. AND on sale!!!

so of course we got two containers

and i smiled all the while home.

we decided to make what kimball calls "big breakfast"

i usually add comments along with each picture but for today i thought i would just let my blackish blueish purpleish friends do the talking. enjoy

most of you are probably incredibly confused at my fascination with blackberries. reading this will clear things up a bit :)

i have the best husband.

this morning was sort of stressful..well at least i made this morning sort of stressful.

you know those mornings that you are flustered but have no idea why?

that was this morning.

but kimball, being wonderful, was as sweet as ever and didn't question my sanity though he probably wanted to

that is just one reason i have the best husband ever

the second (among thousands) reason he is the best husband ever

is because he leaves me the cutest notes in the cutest places!

like today..

i have a test that i'm sort of nervous about and after the melt down this morning

he knew i would need a little extra lovin'

so when i wasn't in the room he snuck this note card into my big pile i had made for my test,

knowing i would review them before going into the testing center
