the last dance.

my last performance at Brigham Young University

just a little behind the scenes peak

I could not have asked for a better show to participate in as I finished up my time at BYU.
I wish I had some movement pictures but I'll remind to grab some next time.
Thank you Camille and all of my fellow dancers for letting me move one more time!

Movers.

I'm not dead, promise. I've just been dealing with midterms, traveling, getting sick and preparing for the Faculty Showcase here at BYU! One of my past dance professors was crazy enough to ask me to be in her piece for the showcase and I, feeling crazy myself, accepted. After months of 6am SATURDAY rehearsals and late nights on stage the performances are finally here and let me tell you, the choreographers have outdone themselves. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with faculty members and other students in my last semester of school. My part in the piece is extremely small and it's easy to see why when the other dancers start to move, I am surrounded with amazing movers. Last night after our dress rehearsal I started to tear up as I told husband how grateful I was to have the chance to perform one more time here. I'm going to miss it so much and pray I find more opportunities to share my love of movement.

I would die if our choerographers went unnoticed with all the effort and passion they've put into these pieces so go to
 http://www.byuarts.com/calendar/eventdescription_v2.php?eventid=127
and read more about the show and the stories behind each piece! Tickets are only $6 (which is insane) so come and enjoy!!
I am so blessed to that God has given me this love of movement.

beause I am blessed.

A to the Z // Part.Three

A visit to Arizona would not be complete without a little Kitty Kat time. Meet Kat! She's been my bestest friend since we were ten years old. (Dang, right?) Her and her husband Myles still live in Arizona so every time we go visit we get to play! Considering we were only in Az for a couple days we didn't get a chance to see them until late Saturday night but we made time. After talking for hours we went to The Gelato Spot and talked for a couple more hours until they kicked us out. (They were literally picking up the chairs around us and taking our gletao cups off the table...okay, okay! We get it!) We then went back to their place and continued to talk for a few more hours :) I cannot get enough of my Katter. We are so blessed to have married guys who get along as well! Myles is the sweetest. Having all four of us together is a complete riot.

You know at the end of high school when all the adults say "oh, you wont really stay close with your high school friends"? They didn't know about us. Okay, so we may not live right next door to each other and have kids at the exact same time and maybe our children wont marry each other BUT we will be best friends forever. I am so grateful for Kat and the friend and sister she has been to me for the last twelve years!

A to the Z // Part.Two

In case you haven't already been notified, I have the cutest nieces and nephews. No contest, so don't even try. There are 13 of them and they all have a huge piece of my heart. While in Arizona we got to see a handful of them and I, being me, couldn't help but snap a few photographs. So for your "ooh"ing and "aw"ing pleasure I present some of my babies :)

I would like to take this moment to thank the television snow "Yo Gabba Gabba" for making these photos possible. Oh, and my beautiful siblings for making dang good looking children. Thank the heavens for my beautiful family and the joy they bring me!

because i am blessed.

A to the Z // Part.One

We zoomed down to Arizona for some fun this weekend while my brother, sister in law and their kids where there and it was also my other sister in laws baby shower! Double Bonus. Other than the shower we hit up the lanes. Of course there are pictures so you can pretend you were there with us.

One funny thing I want to say before the cornucopia of pictures that you know will follow below. I, or so I've been told, am a really goofy bowler. I guess I do some weird stance as I let go of the ball...anyway! These pictures should help you understand where the stance originates from. I LOVE MY CRAZY FAMILY!

See what I mean? I especially love my nephews approach :)
Here are some other adorable pics, just because my family is precious.

I cannot look at these and not say that I am blessed.
Oh, how glorious it is to have such a loving, close, crazy familia.

we like to move it move it

After playing Just Dance over Christmas break Kimball and I have been dying to get a Move for our PS3. It's like a Wii and has a lot of the same games. We tried to hold out until something significant like a birthday or celebration of some sort but we soon realized we were kidding ourselves and just bought it! Now we're pretty much pro golfers and force our friends to come over to dance with us.

Yes, we did create our golfers to look almost exactly like us hahah. They had the most bizarre details that I'm sure would help normal people who have patience make their character look like themselves, we settled for a vague resemblance.
PGA Golf, Just Dance 3 and Michael Jackson the Experience is the beginning of our stash and we are loooving them. Our favorite and not so favorite feature of the three games is on the Michael Jackson game where it takes pictures and records you while you dance. So cool right!? Except while you're dancing you think you are so boss and because you're getting a good score you must look exactly like Michael, right? Wrong. Watching ourselves after has to be one of the funniest and most humbling experiences! We're not as hot as we think we are and definitely do not look like Michael. But it's fun none the less :)

Progressive Smile.

Kimball and I decided it'd be fun to go a little wild with Photo Booth on my Mac. After fiddling with a few of the different effects Kimball decided it'd be funny to do a frame by frame progressive smile. By now we are in a completely giggly mood from all the previous pictures but felt confident in our abilities to keep a straight face for .2 seconds between the first and second frame. We were wrong. It is more impossible than expected to stare blankly, unsmiling, next to a giggly husband. We couldn't even make it to "2" on the countdown to taking the picture before we would erupt with laughter.

The first three pictures are our complete failures but we finally got it!

The last frame of this "success" shot is almost too much to handle! Hahahah

The process of getting to this picture was by far the best part.
I love us :)

austin.

Remember when a new year was about to start in elementary school and you dreaded the day you couldn't just swim all day? Okay, maybe that was just me. But then you got to the lunch room on that first day and opened your lunch and there was Austin. Good ole' pb and cheese (that actually sounds nasty, but we all know it isn't) and the world was beautiful again.

Kimball and I did a costco run this last weekend and came across a HUGE pack of Austin crackers. Cheese and pb, cheese and cheese, lemon, oreo wanna-be's, the whole sha-bang! All of them were there! It was a blast from the past that we could not pass so, of course, we purchased them. Now when I'm at school dreaming about swimming the summer away (I haven't changed much, have I?) I whip out my Austins and everything is A-OK.

What was ( is) your fav little kid lunch snack?? Do tell!

p.s. high resolution pic right there! sorryz, my phone did the best he could :)
